5 things that led me to create the Online Shop - 5th edition

Today, I’m super excited to launch my online shop, 5th edition - unique home accessories that you can buy from the comfort of your home at your convenience...and there's something for every budget and style.

A home is a reflection of homeowners, their personality and lifestyle needs. When creating a client's space I go looking for a perfect piece, exploring all avenues, vintage, consignment and other boutique stores, looking for hand-made items or custom designed pieces and most exciting of all... up-cycled pieces.

During these expeditions I come across many unique items that collectors, like myself, would really find hard to resist. The idea of creating a store had been brewing in my head for a long time, and soon different reasons started emerging around me and this urge grew stronger and stronger. And here I am, proudly launching my collection!

What led me to create the Online Shop # 1 Keen Eye for Quality

In the quest for unique items, quality has always been my focus, it may sound simple but when I have a specific item in mind, its hard to find it. Most people don’t have the patience, the time and the eye to go shopping to alternate store. Hence, I curated a collection that you can browse through with ease and most importantly from the comfort of your home.

What led me to create the Online Shop # 2 - Charity Begins at Home...

...that’s my motto for running my business. Supporting our community and local artisans goes a long way! Giving business to local trades is economically sound for our community and we all reap the benefits. Designing custom pieces supports local woodworkers and refinishers, it feeds my creativity and most of all provides my clients with the very special gift of a custom designed piece tailored to their style and personality.

What led me to create the Online Shop # 3 - Keep 'em from Landfills

I have seen many outdated furniture pieces, totally solid, structurally sound, sitting sadly on the curb, like if someone doesn't adopt them they're going to end up in the landfills. I have this urge to rescue those pieces and help keep them out of landfills. We all know that recycling is good for the environment but when it's time to buy some furniture sometimes tend to become impatient and resort to disposable options. So, updating old items to fit the current trends has many benefits, aesthetically and morally.

What led me to create the Online Shop # 4 - Art Matters

Supporting local artists means we keep getting more art, and we always need art - it's what takes any space to the next level, and can inspire you daily.  Also, an artist expresses themselves in their own distinct styles, and buying their work means they get to explore there own style - coming from a family of artists of all types I understand the urge to work with a certain medium or draw a specific subject, for instance I, myself, have an obsession with old buildings...that's definitely my favourite subject to paint.

What led me to create the Online Shop # 5 - Old is Gold

Antique markets have always been my favourite from a very young age, I can always find a diamond in the rough. When I travel, the first thing I want to see, after visiting the museums of course, is the antique stores or local markets... it is sooooooo much fun, too bad I can't bring everything home 🙁

This collection of home décor accessories is curated with the hope that you have as much fun shopping as I did putting it all together. However, if you’re looking for a specific item let me know…chances are, I might be able to find it.

I'd love to hear what you think of this collection...send me an email or comment on Instagram...and remember to check out in a few days as new items will be added as they come...enjoy!
